As customers’ first point of contact, staff within the hospitality and retail industries would be best positioned to appreciate and understand their responsibilities related to alcohol, know how alcohol affects the body and be aware of the benefits and risks associated with alcohol consumption.

Since 2022, FReD has started to engage retailing institutions and catering companies to proactively promote responsible serving amongst their employees. The Certified Responsible Server Scheme symbolises the institutions or companies are recognizant of their social responsibility, safety of their customers and consumers, and therefore is a part in the development of a sustainable society.
